Breast Cancer Awareness Project

In recognition of World Breast Cancer Awareness Day, Equity and Empowerment (EE) organized a series of awareness sessions in Idlib and rural Aleppo, aimed at promoting early detection and empowering women through knowledge and support.

The sessions provided a welcoming and supportive environment, featuring educational lectures by women’s health specialists on:

  • Causes, symptoms, and facts about breast cancer
  • The importance of regular self-examinations and how to perform them correctly
  • The impact of early detection on treatment success

Interactive workshops and demonstrations helped participants turn knowledge into practical action, while open discussions created space for women to share personal stories, offering emotional support and encouragement to one another.

The initiative emphasized a key message: early detection is not just about health—it’s a step toward empowerment. These events reflect EE’s commitment to building informed, resilient communities and ensuring health equity for all.
