Blackmail and cyber-defamation against men, the other side of the story

What is the Defemale Podcast?

In collaboration with the audio content production company “Audionality,” Equity and Empowerment  launched the Defemale podcast to highlight the growing dangers of cyber blackmail and online violence.

Why the Name Defemale?

The name is a combination of the English word “defamation,” meaning slander, and the words “Female” and “Male.” This term emphasizes the focus on the defamation of individuals. Given that the impact of blackmail is particularly severe on women in our societies, we chose a title that conveys the message:

“Defamation of Women: Let’s Analyze, Critique, and Investigate.”

The “Defemale” podcast is available on various podcast platforms, SoundCloud, and YouTube.

Blackmail and cyber-defamation against men…the other side of the story

Did you know that men can also be victims of online extortion? Unfortunately, extortion doesn’t discriminate—it can be emotional, financial, or even work-related. Many men face threats involving the release of sensitive information or photos in exchange for certain demands.
