What is the Defemale Podcast?

In collaboration with the audio content production company “Audionality,” Equity and Empowerment  launched the Defemale podcast to highlight the growing dangers of cyber blackmail and online violence.

Why the Name Defemale?

The name is a combination of the English word “defamation,” meaning slander, and the words “Female” and “Male.” This term emphasizes the focus on the defamation of individuals. Given that the impact of blackmail is particularly severe on women in our societies, we chose a title that conveys the message:

“Defamation of Women: Let’s Analyze, Critique, and Investigate.”

The “Defemale” podcast is available on various podcast platforms, SoundCloud, and YouTube.

Every episode of Defemale podcast, we have new feelings, and we are all living through a difficult period, as a preparation and production team because it is very difficult to hear women’s constant suffering, and the potential of cyber violence affects their lives.
Maha’s story (pseudonym), one of the rare stories because it tells about a female leader’s experience with cyber violence, and this confirms that there is no protection for anyone, especially women.
