Second Roundtable on Women and Transitional Justice Highlights Women’s Role in Peace and Security

In the second dialogue of the WLF Forum, under the slogan “What doesn’t divide us, unites us,” the table became a genuine space for Syrian women from diverse backgrounds and experiences to meet, connect, and share their desire for dialogue, understanding, and building a more just and peaceful future. We discussed transitional justice and the importance of women’s participation—not only at the local level but also in strategic roles, shaping plans and policies for state-building and peace processes. It was a session full of ideas, warmth, and shared experiences, reaffirming that Syrian women, despite their differences, can always create safe spaces for dialogue, unity, and collaborative action.
